TASK#1 PHOTO JOURNAL

Here is my photo journal where I will highlight several problems that I face during traveling. I took multiple photos while traveling in my village and while I was going to the grocery shop.

I have noticed many issues while capturing all these pictures. After collecting these pictures, I can say that government as well as citizens are responsible for the problems we are facing. Potholes, poor sewerage system, garbage on roadsides that are causing land pollution, illegal use of roads by residents, and overloaded electric polls are some of the gaps that I saw while traveling. There is the negligence of the government sector as well as citizens who pay no attention to these problems.

I think road maintenance should be done on an urgent basis by the government. They should install drainage pipes and dustbins. It is the responsibility of the people to keep their area clean and green. Citizens should take part in tree planting. The government should impose heavy fines on the citizens that violate their duties.

Now I will highlight some of the gaps one by one that I saw during my journey.

1st problem:

Since recent rainfall, our sewerage system has been completely choked. The contaminated water contains different diseases. There is no proper system for the removal of wastewater. People used to throw garbage which too leads to a poor sewerage system. There is an urgent need to take action to solve this problem. It is the responsibility of both the government and the villagers.

2nd problem:

Another issue that I faced while traveling is that there are many potholes. As you can see the condition of the road is extremely disappointing. The main reason behind the bad condition of roads is waterlogging, which needs to be addressed urgently. Poor road conditions are a common factor in accidents across the country. Potholes also cause tire damage. Government should pay attention to the construction or at least maintenance of roads.

3rd problem:

Land pollution is another major problem that we all are facing. People used to throw garbage on the roadsides which lead to severe land pollution. Land pollution causes many diseases like malaria etc. The government should take serious action against it but it is more important to install dustbins. There should be a proper system of recycling this garbage on weekly basis. The villagers should also act responsibly and should be aware to clean their area.

4th problem:

I want to highlight the illegal use of roads by many citizens. it become a common practice for people to construct stairs for their homes on the road. It not only shortens the road but as leads to inequality in society. Government should take serious action against these people and impose a high fine.

5th problem:

An issue that caught my attention is the negligence of the WAPDA. Rainfall is a blessing but because of the poor connection of electric wire, it gives hard time. Whenever there is rain, there will be no light that is because of electric wires poorly installed. Most of the electric polls in my area are overloaded but workers of WAPDA pay attention to this issue. it can cause serious problems. WAPDA should pay attention to the maintenance of electric polls and wires.

As I said earlier it is the responsibility of the government and the citizens to keep their area clean and green. The government should install drainage and sewerage pipes. Dustbins should be installed so that people can throw garbage there. Maintenance of electric polls and wires should be done in order to avoid any problems.
