Lessons from the last session: Taking Flight

“When fears are grounded, dreams take flight.”

As my three months, Amal fellowship is about to end, I want to reflect back on my journey. I had my last Amal fellowship session on the 9th of October 2022. It made me feel happy and sad at the same time because it connected me to the three months journey. It reminds me of my very first interview that Sir Hammad conducted and after that my first online session. I have completed three months Amal Fellowship with lots of learning and also been able to reflect back on my shortcomings.

There are always the small steps that matter the most. I remember the shy version of myself while giving interviews and after the completion of the fellowship I was able to give mock interviews and presentations confidently.

Through Amal fellowship, I was able to learn different soft skills like communication, problem-solving, time management, teamwork, creativity, and leadership.

In our last session, we were divided into two groups and played a “Scavenger hunt” in which we had to solve riddles. We were asked to solve the riddle then find an object, take a selfie with that object and upload that on google drive. I had a wonderful experience while playing with my Amal fellows.

“Scavenger Hunt” -Unforgettable memories

In the end, I want to thank my facilitators, Sir Hammad and Ma’am Hajira, for providing us with a safe and judgemental-free environment where we were able to connect with people and express ourselves. I am sure that I will miss this fellowship.

Thank you Amal Academy
